In her personal life, Ms. Douglas is an aspiring Author, Poet, Full Spectrum Life Doula apprentice, Photography, Horticulture, and Travel enthusiast.
Inner city Rochester N.Y native, D. Cheyenne grew up equally inspired by the talent and potential as much as the poverty and struggle that surrounded her. Before briefly relocating cross country, she was (and still is)an alumni of John James Audubon School No. 33, Henry Hudson School No. 28, Nazareth Academy Middle School, & Bishop Kearney High School where she encountered the educators to whom she greatly attributes the inspiration behind her thinking outside of the box and dreaming bigger, unimaginably big, without bounds even. In addition to being a dedicated student, she doubled as an active volunteer in her community including but not limited to St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center and House of Mercy, as well as countless fundraisers/giveaways/ other community initiatives partnering with the Rochester Motorcycle Community and Ruff Ryders Lifestyles Worldwide.
After years advocating for herself against misdiagnosis and other horrors all too common to women of color, in every sector of the American Healthcare System, was late Identified/diagnosed AuDHD, cPTSD, Dysgraphic and more (in her 20’s). Not even this wouldn’t stop her from having set her ambitions high and earning her first two post-secondary degrees (Aerospace Engineering & Maintenance Technology) in less than 2 years after graduating high school. Following her inherited instinctive entrepreneurial spirit, opened her first business, a Staffing Agency dedicated to beverage catering for events based in Southern California, while beginning her exploration into alternative, holistic, and Eastern medicine/Wellness before returning home to NY and starting her deep dive into Ancestral Holistic Remedies to help alleviate the various ailments disproportionately afflicting underserved communities in her hometown.
Upon prioritizing healing herself and loved ones closest to her, she recognized a growing need to aid those ready for transformational change. Out of these hopes of elevating the community as a whole, by way of empowering and uplifting as many individuals as possible along the way to creating a better quality of life for all Worthy Beings, she brings us her life’s passion project and legacy,
The Worthy Being Group.
